Pumpkins

While we were shopping at Walmart, I spotted some small pumpkins and asked mom if we could all have one....she said yes. Poor mommy, she had to go grocery shopping with all of the kids that day. We got to paint our pumpkins on Saturday after mommy bought the paint. It was a lot of fun and Natalie played as we painted. At church on the eve of Halloween, we learned the pumpkin parable. We cleaned out a pumpkin and throw away all the junk inside just like Jesus' death did for our sins. Then we made a jack'o'lantern and put a flashlight in it. That helped us see that God's light can shine thru us once we admit our sins and repent and accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. Noah and I really enjoyed that parable :). Our teacher gave us the pumpkin we helped carve to bring home.
